Infrared Sauna - The power of healing light
What is Infrared Sauna?
One of the top health benefits of using an infrared sauna regularly is to promote natural detoxification. We are exposed to toxins in our everyday life, and detoxification is the way in which our body naturally de-activates and eliminates these accumulated toxins. Promoting optimal detox pathways will help to reduce the impact this can have on our health.
Toxins are classified as any chemical that the body cannot use productively or cannot get rid of easily. These chemicals do our organs and bodily processes harm, disrupt the natural order of things and increase the rate at which ageing happens. We’re no strangers to the power of sweat when it comes to detoxing. Our skin is the largest organ and essentially our third kidney and sweat glands help our skin filter toxins out of the body, which in turn boosts our immune system. At Revival you have the choice of 2 Infrared saunas - the traditional Infrared Detox Box sauna or the Vital Dome, a French advanced infratherapy system that is a lie down infrared sauna where you can leave your head out for even greater relaxation.
How does Infrared Sauna work?
Infrared sauna therapy uses far-infrared light that is experienced by the body as radiant heat and causes the body to sweat at lower temperatures, while the light penetrates deeper—up to three inches— than conventional saunas. This aids with deep tissue healing and mobilising fat as many of the toxins we absorb are surrounded and trapped by fat. One of the ways we detox the body is through sweating. Unfortunately, most people are not sweating enough! We need to sweat every single day. Sweating is one of the safest ways to detox the body regularly. The more you sweat, the more toxins you can detox from your body as long as you are replacing with optimal fluid.
Research papers are accumulating on the benefits of infrared saunas for not only general health and wellbeing but specifically for toxin clearance and reducing pain and inflammation within the body. An infrared sauna is different to a regular sauna as it uses light to create heat. It has the ability to use Far Infrared Technology, which is the longest wavelength to reach the deepest parts of our tissues where toxins are stored. Our cells have a sophisticated biological system to utilise light and heat for repair and detoxification.
What is the Result?
When it comes to health, many people live by the adage, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Little do they realise that the very act of breaking is a result of long-term neglect instead of ”catching” something at the time. We prefer to be proactive, rather than reactive when it comes to our health. That’s why we regularly detox ourselves using the most advanced methods.
A few of the many benefits include:
Drains and eliminates toxins including heavy metals
Aids quality sleep and melatonin production
Purifies, firms and rejuvenates the skin
Improve muscle stiffness and joint pain
Promotes relaxation and reduces stress hormones such as cortisol
Improves blood and lymphatic circulation
Stimulates metabolism and calorie loss
Has anti-ageing properties
